blocked e-mails

hope someone can help me please?
i had avast4 home installed untill the time limit expired,so i removed it from my pc and reinstalled,then registered like i should have done in the first place...
after reinstalling outlook express will not allow incoming mail??i`ve conntacted my isp and they`ve helped out,outlook express works fine when avast is not installed..
 
keeps asking for autherization but nothing happens


          please help someone who hasnt got a clue

What is the error message when you cancel the logon dialog ?
What Windows do you use ?

What is your OS?
If you have a firewall (which one?), does it allow ashMaiSv.exe access to the internet? if not no email.
