Google cloud printing service keeps running in the background

When one has checked have Google Chrome running in the background, even after shutting down the Google cloud printing service keeps running.
Should Google Chrome run in the background?

Yes the chrome.exe process will continue to run for the google cloud print to work.  Unless you have a google cloud print ready printer in which case its not necessary for chrome.exe to keep running.

Think thwaw awttings came with the latest avast program download and the google cloud offer,
