Scheduled Scans
« on: February 08, 2014, 12:01:37 AM »
I have the free version of Avast & run a daily scheduled scan. I want to amend this but cannot find it. I can set up a new scheduled scan but can't access existing ones. Can anyone help please?

avast UI > Scan > [select appropriate scan] > Settings > Scheduling.

It is really simple...GUI>Scan>create a scan or change settings.

For what it's worth...I run a weekly scheduled quick scan and a monthly full scan.
If your daily scans keep coming up clean you can probably cut back on scan frequency.
We have forum members who do weekly quick scans and some who do twice a month scans.
We even have one member who rarely scans at all.
But to each their own.
Dell Inspiron, Win10x64--HP Envy Win10x64--Both systems Avast Free v17.9.2322, Comodo Firewall v8.2 w/D+, MalwareBytes v3.0, OpenDNS, Super Anti-Spyware, Spyware Blaster, MCShield, Unchecky, Vivaldi Browser and, various browser security tools.

Thanks, but this only enables me to create a new scan. I can't find the existing one to modify it.

Select the scan in the top drop down and then select settings

But the existing scan isn't in the drop-down box.
