avast online security not working in ie search engines

online security (webrep) not working on ie9 google, bing, etc search engines since upgrade from avast 8.1483 to 1488. now 1489. did clean install avast 8.1489. double checked all settings in ie and avast and all same as before. reinstalled ie9. ran sfc /scannow and checkdsk, all ok.anybody with any ideas please respond. thank you.

forgot to add win vista 32 bit. did use aswclear. all previous antivirus removed by man. recommendations with removal tools. sorry. new at this.

Are you by chance running your browsers under Online Armors "run safer" mode?

Try a repair. Control Panel>Uninstall>double click  "avast">click "repair">reboot.

good morning and thanks to Aventador and Para-Noid for thier responses.
i am not using runsafer in online armor. totally turn off online armor, get same result.
i have tried avast repair several times, as as mentioned berore, did total clean install of avast8.1849.

How do you have WebRep set-up. Is it enabled?

hi Para-Noid. yes, webrep and phishing enabled. toolbar and bho enabled in IE. have double and triple checked all srttings in avast and IE.
web rep tool working fine on all web pages incl. search engines, just not in search results. not really big deal as i am using WOT, buy i hate it when things don't work right. was planning on buying pro version in couple months when i can afford it.
may need to rethink that.
