I have Avast Internet Security installed on my Desktop ( this machine ) and my Windows Surface Pro tablet.

Wondering how to have Avast find my tablet if it is stolen / lost, or will Avast help with that at all?

I presume that on your tablet you have avast! Free Mobile Security installed.
The first step toward having theft protection available for the tablet is to activate the Theft Protection.
