Can't get Avast to load

I have attempted several times to install the Home Edition. It gets to the very end and then states that there was an error and couldn't load. I am not very computer smart and can't seem to copy the error. But it appears that I am getting the error at the very end of the install. I can write it down when I get home and post. Very frustrated here cause I can't seem to see pictures and buttons on websites so I am afraid I may have some virus or something. If I post this error this evening, will someone be able to help me or walk me thru how to fix it??

Sure, you can post the error message...
We'll be here. I won't be that worried about pictures on Internet. Most probably, your connection or browser have some misconfiguration.
When you post the error, please, give us more info: your operational system, firewall, etc.
