Issue After System Restore
« on: May 31, 2013, 07:20:11 PM »
Hi guys I hope you can help. I am running Avast free on Windows 7 32 bit. Recently my pc was running a tad slow so I decided to see if reverting to a solid restore point would solve this. The system restore solved whatever issue my pc was having, but when my system restarted Avast informed my that my subscription to Avast Pro had expired. Now I have never had Avast Pro and the only way I found to sort this was to run asw.clear in safe mode and reinstall Avast. So I was wondering (more for future reference) if there was anything else I could have done and why this happened. Any replies will be appreciated.

I suggest an installation from scratch, as this (the reversion to avast! Pro) is a known bug.

First thanks so much for your swift reply. So even if I'm on the most recent version do you still think I should install from scratch?
