Manual updates
« on: June 02, 2013, 02:59:23 AM »
I tried to initiate the manual update feature for the virus codes and I am permanently locked in this mode with nothing happening.  Am unable to update the program or check on status of updates.  What do I do?

It is Free Avast.

Later I restarted my computer and the problem now seems to be corrected.  Unsure why I had a problem, But this message is no longer applicable and may be removed.

This can occur if you trigger a manual update at the same time as an Avast generated update is happening

A bit of general advice:
Rebooting the system when you seem to have a problem with any program
quite often restores the program and ends your problem.
When all else fails, try a reboot then if you're still having a problem, ask here for help. :)
