Hello everyone,
My android had antitheft installed, before it got stolen a month ago. I still have its IMEI. However I have re-issued my lost sim. Please please tell me how to go about it. Any information would be very helpful.

Hello,

this means you'll have to wait until the finder/thief changes the sim card.
when this happens, the person who's number you specified as "friend" in Anti-Theft will receive a SMS with the new number as sender and the current location.

Thanks a lot for your reply. oh no, I dont think I have given any friend's name in there in specific, any default number allocated,by any chance?
Or just IMEI and other model details won't help at all??

Hello,

in order to activate Anti-Theft you need to enter a friends phone number (not name:-).
So - you either didn't activate Anti-Theft or you entered a phone number (or chose one from your phone book).

In some countries the police can instruct the networkoperators lock stolen phones (on IMEI basis) out of their network. This won't get your phone back, but at least the thief can't use it either.
