Avast8 chest free version

I want to ask , I have an index xml file in my chest, I couldn't delete it ,is it supposed to be there ? Also you can't access the contents of the chest in avast8 through the interface, but i could through explorer, is there any problem with deleting the contents of the chest that way?Thanks!
