My last entry didn't make it to the board.
I have photoshop plugins that the scan on opening uses 100% of CPU. This started after I installed Avast ( don't remember if I've used the plugins with Avast without this issue). When opening Photoshop the CPU usage for -- com.apple...MAD --- process is 10-28%. When I open the plugins from one company the .MAD process goes to 90-100% for about a minute. I tried to exclude the file from the file shield but the real time scan still checks the file. I don't use these plugins often but like to find the cause and remedy. I'm running AVAST Free vers 7.0 (38501) virus defs 13060901 and Mac OSX is 10.6.8.
Any suggestions is appreciated.
