Avast startup on machine boot-up

Avast used to start when I turned my machine on, but now I can't find a way to keep it running at all :(.  I need it running always, to protect against virus's.  Can anyone help

Hi, welcome to the forums.

Please Help us to Help you.
- What OS are you using? is it up to date?
- What avast! version, e.g. 4.6.623 (see about avast!)
- Have you made any changes to your system, avast update, etc?

I would suggest that you try a repair of avast. Add Remove programs, avast! Anti-Virus, Change/Remove button and scroll down to Repair, click next and follow. You need to be on-line to do this.

Or try RejZor's AEC avast! External Control program Check the avast! Tweaker and tick Show Tray Icon.

If that doesn't work try, uninstall, reboot, install, reboot.
