MSE TO Avast (solved)

I have just got window 7 How in the world do i shut (OFF) MSE so i can install Avast. I have googled all the possibilities,and I still cant shut it down.Even in services all i get is a grayed out page.

MSE is NOT on Windows 7. Windows Defender is on Windows 7. You cannot uninstall but you can simply disable its real time protection. Just Google your question and here you go.

Thanks guys. How mse got on here I have no idea but I got rid of it and the Avast download was smooth as silk. THANKS

If you truly had MSE installed then it came via Windows Update. You must have checked it off.

This was a fresh install with auto update still on . I installed it myself so I can't blame anyone but yours truly.
