Window 8 and Avast
« on: June 16, 2013, 12:28:53 AM »
I have given up on windows 8. I reinstalled it 4 times every time I installed avast it would go until I would go to desktop then freeze.Restarting the PC would do nothing it would come back on, frozen on desktop. I wasn't overly fond of the way win 8 Os ran.I guess I will never know why and am guessing avast had something to do with it.Anyway I installed win 7,and this asus has never worked better, with Avast doing it's thing

What type of ASUS computer model name do you have on you're desktop or laptop, my ASUS G75VX is brand new and I only had this for nearly 4 months running W8.

If you're still having problem with ASUS what ever model you have trying to install W8, the best place to get ASUS computer help is here see link http://rog.asus.com/forum/

Sounds like maybe there was some issue with your system needing a driver updated to make it compatible with Win8.

With my Asus G74 I had to install all drivers from the G75 to get full compatibility.

This is why I ask what model he has because at the ASUS forum there are some users are having problem install older laptop model with Vista OS upgrading to W8, so this is why I gave the forum website to get further help.
