Always different location
« on: June 06, 2013, 07:40:15 AM »
Hello,
I use the command Locate-continuous tracking every 30 min.
The phone is not moving and the GPS coordinates are always different.
Why is this happening??
Shouldn't be the same GPS coordinates always, as the phone just stays to the same position??

The "source" for GPS coordinates sometimes are from GPS, sometimes from WIFI and sometimes from GSM.
Why is this happening???? The wifi is always enabled and  the "source" is different.

The most accurate "source" is GPS.

Hello,

this is influenced by many factors. a closed curtain, clouds or other things can influence the GPS reception quality and therefore the tracking result.

The location usually works fine.
But today when I thought I'd forgot my phone at home I located and found it in the car using Avast.
But going through location history I found one day where the location was near the African westcost.
I live in Finland and for sure haven't been to this location.
How is this possible?

We use a google database to locate devices (in cases where gps is not available) in rare cases this database is faulty and returns incorrect locations. I suppose this happened here.
