I don't want "Software Updater".
« on: June 19, 2013, 11:58:02 PM »
Right now I have an older win xp machine. I don't want newer, incompatible and bloated software because of the age of this machine, size of the hard drive and the amount of ram. If you continue to add "features" (aka useless addons) I shall be forced to use a different antivirus. I used to like avast and would tell my friends it was the best. I am seeing that capitalism has no boundaries.

If you had chosen the custom installation method, (Which should always be used regardless of what you install)
you would have been able to accomplish that task. :)

If you did the renewal directly from the UI, it's possible that option wasn't displayed.
You can always uninstall that portion of IS after the fact.

Its not a useless feature its a good feature for people who are pedantic about updating software which many people are, but I don't want it either and you can simply turn it off.
