Can't renew Avast registration

Hi,
For a couple of weeks now,I get a red coloured window asking me to Renew my subsription,I click renew and a small circle turns (seemingly updating),but nothing happens! I've done all I can here ect...with no success.Can someone help with this?Never had a problem in 10 years I've been using the free Version.I have version 8.0.1489 installed on Window7 Home Edition.I'm on a Dialup connection.Thanks for the help.

In the meantime you could try the old method of re-registering:
Web site (Off-line) Registration rather than using UI Registration see support.avast knowledgebase article Off-line registration. Whilst this shows avast 7 the same procedure should work with avast 8.

TENHO ALGO PARECIDO. REFORMATEI MEU PC E PRECISO REATIVAR O ANTI-VIRUS. ACONTECE QUE INADIVERTIDAMENTE NA PRIMEIRA VEZ QUE RECEBI A LICENÇA, ATIVEI-A EM TXT. AGORA TODA VEZ QUE VOU ATIVAR A SENHA DE LICENÇA ELA APARECE EM TXT E APARECE A MENSAGEM  "NÃO FOI POSSIVEL ADICIONAR O ARQUIVO DE LICENÇA. O SUBSISTEMA AAVM DETECTOU UM ERRO DE RPC." QUE FAÇO??? VOCES PODEM ENTRAR AQUI NO MEU COMPUTADOR PARA ALTERAR O TXT ? ESTOU DESISTINDO JA!!! AJUDEM-ME!!!
