AVAST efficiency troubles due to former Norton antivir !
« on: July 01, 2013, 12:21:16 PM »
Hi

I have been using AVAST for more than 14 years , but the new PC that I have  inherited  was fitted before with Norton. I tried to uninstall NORTON, but I discovered  it was impossible to perform .
I asked to Norton, but the answer was very harsh and I replied with much anger . Symantec commercial policy is actually disgusting ! I am ready to do anything to revenge from this gang of mobsters!!
I bought  AVAST anti-vir for this PC, then , the former Symantec Norton started taking the job by force, sending false virus alarm, and lots of unwanted actions, so that I can't trust my AVAST efficiency .
MY QUESTION :

HOW TO GET RID OF NORTON ONCE FOR ALL ???

Turn Norton off then try re-running the removal tool

No problems :) don't forget to finish up with a search for the Symantec and Norton leftovers, CCleaner will help remove bits as well and you could run the registry cleaning function it contains which will also find more junk.
