Problem with Avast4 Home installation

I installed Avast 4 Home edition and I have big problems :

1) When I launch Avast I have this message : Error 0X000000c1 Splash cannot execute the following program C:\Programfiles\Alwil.....\Avast4\ashSimpl.exe

2) There is no Avast icon in taskbar.

What is the solution ?

Could you reinstall avast!
The Splash Screen cound´t execute the avast! engine. It´s strange...
Do you experience any trouble during the installation?
Do you boot the computer after the installation?
Could you give more informations about your system (OS, firewall, spywares...)
