Hi

Is there a way I can remotely (through my avast account) add a sim card the trusted list?

So for example if somebody changes the sim card on a mobile device it currently shows up as stolen until I log into the avast anti-theft on the actual device; I wanted to do this online remotely

Kind regards

Hello,

the sim (here green) turns red if an untrusted SIM card is present. Just click the SIM and you can set it to trusted.

Thanks, the (red) sim doesn't allow me to click! The mouse icon changes to a hand when i hover over the other icons (siren, track etc) but not when i hover over the sim icon...

any other ideas?

thats because werner mistakely thought this is possible (its a good idea though and i will consider it).
to trust the SIM just launch the Anti-Theft client on your device and you'll get a message that the SIM card was added to the trusted SIM list.

Thanks reinhardholzner

I can stop clicking now!

I know the way you have suggested but we have 50 devices that are being used in different locations so a remote way would be very useful.

Any idea if you will be able to add this feature soon?

Kind regards

implemented :-) will get into next release. UNLOCK and FOUND commands as well as validly entering PIN code on phone Anti-Theft lock screen will add SIM card to trusted list.

Hi again

I used the FOUND command but that only temporarily changes the Security Status until the tablet is switched off. As soon as the devices are restarted the Security Status goes back to Stolen...the only way to add the sim card to the trusted list permanently is by logging onto Avast on the device.

Any idea when the next release is due?

yes it is already in google play. it now trusts your SIM if you mark it FOUND.
