-Cant Login After Boot Time Scan.

But I am Willing to give another try When Its Fixed.

I Hope Avast Fix That Errors or Bug Soon.

Hi vizzminzi,
Do you mean Windows 8 or Windows 8.1? avast is already compatible on Windows 8, meanwhile still in testing phase in Windows 8.1

hi vizzminzi,

Start>Run>type 'ver' (without the quotes) and hit enter.  Or Computer>System Properties.

No !!! Avast is not stable with Windows 8 nor Windows 8.1...

I have tried both. Avast on Windows 8 filling my Event Log with bunch of errors. Avast with Windows 8.1 destroyed my system. After installing it, system went crazy and spammed errors each 3 seconds. I was not able to do delete avast, to do system restore, to run safe mode... I had to do clean install again...

Avast free 8.0.1489 is working perfectly fine here on Win8 x64 as I've not heard of any problems with Bob3160 or SpeedyPC on their Win8 systems.

With Windows 8 there is no Problem.

With Windows 8.1 the Beta will wreck your system.

I tried it out:http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=128658.0

Just installed avast free on a win8 machine the other day.
Only problem is with the avast updater, rest runs smoothly, even the critical updates etc. etc.

Don't let Avast anywhere near your PC. It's turned mine into a "minimalist" machine ie black screen, mouse cursor and nothing else. EVERYTHING else is history until I completely reinstall W8 and every application and setting and document.

And Avast don't seem to give a shit.

Go just about anywhere else. How about AVG? Stay away from the jokers at Avast.

I'm going to keep spreading the word so that others don't have to waste all their time and effort. Meanwhile, don't say you weren't warned.
