We have had several servers and a few workstations get a BSOD stop error;

     PROCESS1_INITIALIZATION_FAILED....STOP: 0x0000006B (0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

AFTER windows updates and two reboot. The 1st reboot brought on by the install of the update is fine it is the second reboot that causes the computer to fail with the 06B stop error. While it looks like it is tied to the Windows July Malware Removal Tool testing show that JUST installing it does not cause the problem. Installing other updates and the Malware Removal Tool causes it on computers running Avast 8.

Looking on-line we have seen suggestions that removing the %SystemRoot%\system32\codeintegrity\Bootcat.cache or working with the Catroot folders but these have not helped with this problem.

Has anyone else seen this and been able to recover from it or prevent it on their systems?
