Having had a problem previously resolved in these pages I was advised to install the Filehippo update checker. This has been working fine until recently where I can't insatll any update and get various error messages e.g. for Appl Quicktime I get:
"C:\Windows\TEMP\ESB0GKB0.exe.part could not be saved, because the source file could not be read.
Try again later, or contact the server administrator."
To install an update for Firefox I get:
"There was a problem checking for, downloading or installing this update. Firefox could not be updated because:
The Update could not be installed (patch apply failed)You can update Firefox manually by visiting this link and downloading the latest version
http://www.Firefox.com"
Visiting the site and trying to download just leads to arror messages stating the file could be saved, downlaoded etc etc.
I've also started to lose soem of my work saved using Word. When I try to retrieve a doc. after saving I get an error message stating Microsoft Word has stopped working, it tries to search for a solution then shuts down. Sometime i get an error message saying the doc. can't be opened because i don't have permission to open it. Other docs open without error. Any help would be greatly apprecited.
