how to test AV have been debated among all the AV vendors for years.... so it is not only kaspersky that comes with critic on how these tests are being done
i am not saying that one is better then the other, but there are more then one way to look at this

detection changes from day to day

An excellent post here by pondus and i believe he sums up every testing methodology in a nutshell when he states."detection changes from day to day."
The tests are pointless and should not be taken seriously by anyone.

Thanks.

Pondus never said that tests are pointless. This is what your reply seems to indicate.

These tests are not POINTLESS. What is pointless how ever are these millions of YouTuber's who throw 10+ malicious links are an antivirus in less then 5 min. The average person will come across malware about once every 2 years on the average. Then none of these YouTuber's use there voice. They play music and call themselves names like "Dr.Malware". Anybody can make a VM and test malware. It doesn't take a genus. I believe in AV Comparatives, VB100 and AVtest.org over any YouTube test made by some 13 year old kid. Thanks.

"average person will come across malware about once every 2 years on the average."

Does this not apply to the testing organisations also.
You have just stated yourself in the above quote,so why take these tests seriously if your average user will only come across malware once every 2 years.

Incidentally, how have you come to that figure?
Thanks.

AV Comparatives is an OFFICIAL antivirus testing company. If you design an antivirus wont you want it certified and tested? Yes. And how did I come up with that figure? Its called reality my dear friend. If the average Joe came across malware weekly or daily then the entire world would have infected pc's. It is not that easy to get infected if you simply use common sense. I went an entire year with no antivirus and STILL never got a malware infection. I also run a business where I mainly do malware removal. I don't see the same people monthly and or weekly. If your running into malware more then twice a year then you better start using a Mac or get off then internet.

My good friend aventador,
Your very livelihood and that of avast etc depends on people getting infected so that big companies can come in like knights in shining armor and save us all from a never ending army of malware armed hackers.

Thanks.
