Geek Uninstaller is a great free product and fully portable. 32 and 64 bit support. Iobit Uninstaller is also very good. It is also fully portable. Also if uninstalelrs we so dangerous then why would Essexboy be tellinmg a user to download it.http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=130002.msg967240#msg967240 (reply #65)http://www.geekuninstaller.com/http://www.iobit.com/advanceduninstaller.phphttp://www.techsupportalert.com/best-free-program-un-installer.htm
For your information, when essexboy tells someone to install a program, it's being run under controlled conditions.
That isn't the case for the average user.
Iobit anything isn't something used by most of us. they have very bad ethics. Maybe you're too young to know about it or,
that isn't something you care about since you've already said that you've used crack programs to avoid paying for a product.

I agree about not using Iobit products but I also have to admit that I have used cracks and keygens in the past. I have used cracked versions of games to test them out and see if I like them enough to pay the sometimes exorbitant price they command. If I like a game enough, I will buy the real version. If I don't, I will delete the cracked one. I have never been infected by such things but I will admit that it is a very real possibility.

Bob that was years ago about the cracks. Try 12 years ago and also thats another thread. This isn't about cracks. Its about uninstallers so please stick to topic at hand please. Thanks. When Essexbox informs someone to download and run Revo he is not there. Unless he is remotely controlling the pc isn't not under a "controlled environment".  As far as Iobit stealing from MalwareBytes..................That was there malware product and nothing else. Again that was several years ago and it water under the bridge. Iobit Uninstaler is very good and free. Does not need to be installed just like Geek Uninstaller. Here is s great list.

http://www.techsupportalert.com/best-free-program-un-installer.htm

I myself use Advanced Uninstaller Pro which is 32 and 64 bit  compatible. It is also completely  FREE. There is no difference in some user downloading and installing Revo to try and uninstall a product or if Essexboy informs someone to download it and install it. Please stop the needless comments. Thanks.

"If it ain't broke, don't fix it."  ;)

Bob I ask about uninstallers. I don't like to leave traces of programs behind when uninstalling them. Has nothing to do with if it aint broke don't fix it scenario.

Be my guest. When a shared dll file gets deleted using one of these generic uninstallers and a program you didn't delete no longer works,
remember this thread.  Advice is freely given, I never said you needed to follow it.

I've used Revo for years and never had that problem with a file associated with some other program getting deleted.

Thats why everyone one of these programs creates a backup and or a restore point. Whats the worst that can happen? Re-install Windows? Big deal. Hence the reason I keep a system image handy. Been using 3rd party uninstallers for years. No issues. Same install of Windows 7 now for the past 3-4 years. No problems. Sometimes Bob you need to think outside the box and stop thinking of the old XP days. Uninstallers have come a long way and if they were dangerous they wouldn't be around. Especially a reputable site such as "techsupprtalert".

Your welcome honda2010. If you want to install a program then I recommend Advanced Uninstaller Pro. If you want a portable one then go with Geek Uninstaller. Both are free and very effective. Cheers.

Many years ago there was some problems. XP related really. But I myself never had issues with Revo on XP. But it does not fully support Windows 7 64 bit6 unless you upgrade to the pro version. Check out Advanced Uninstaller.

Just be sure to use the custom install or else you will get AVG Toolbar and search engine installed.

Yup it popped up on install and I made sure to uncheck it all. That program works really well. I appreciate all the info.
