Macrovirus Question
« on: July 25, 2013, 08:00:24 PM »
Hello

Im using Avast Internet Security and I  have hmm sort of hard question here since I dont remember much details because this thing happen 1 week ago and I didnt thought I should do any panic + I didnt had much time, but I do have some questions now. If its not in proper section , please move it there , thank you.

So few days ago I was scanning my PC ( after restart option ) and I found some "macrovirus" thingy , now Im not sure if it was virus or anything dangerous but I thought it didnt because at the end when there's summary it said 0 infected files. This "macrovirus" was in file that was quite safe in my opinion , it was my own saved game from the skyrim I played few days ago before that happen. And as at the end of scan it said 0 infected files I thought I might just delete the file ( saved game file of Skyrim ) normally. And it was all ok since then. But now I have some question , would like to know and hear some explanation from the experts.

So im wondering what is this macrovirus , why was it in such file? And if its something serious or just some false alarm.
Thank you a lot for your time and your help

Thank you very much for the links.
But since I dont have the file anymore cause I deleted it manually by my self I cannot upload it anywhere.. but avast didnt show me that message no more but as I said in the first place , it never told me that there's any infected file and I do scan quite often. Only message saying something about macrovirus or something in that matter. Should I be doing some special scan or could it be false "alarm" did anyone else had this kind of problem in the recent time? Thanks again! I really appreciate your help.

Actually when I think about it , it didnt even asked me to move it into the chest or didnt even stop and asked me anything at all didnt show me any option , otherwise I'd move it to the chest ,  it just wrote something about macrovirus and went on with the scan and at the end there was 0 infected files , even when I checked the report it says no virus. So im wondering what was it and if its ok or  if I should be worried and do some special scan.

One more question , should I start new thread or post the logs here? I made all scans exept RogueKiller for shortcuts.
