VPS File Date
« on: September 26, 2003, 08:09:40 AM »
Avast! crashed. Had to download new copy from Awil. The program runs fine except that Vps file says 18 9 03
including in the email note, yet when I check with Awil for new virus definitions the message says that my VPS is up to date. Any ideas?  (The date shown before it crashed was 19 9 03.)
Thanks

Can you quote the contents of your <avast>\setup\servers.def file here? Also, where did you download the program? Which language version do you have? And finally, which label does the VPS have (see e.g. the About box).

Thanks,
Vlk

I downloaded from Alwil web site (US English). VPS info (from about Avast!) compile date 18.09.2003 ver. 0309-1. When I check for new VPS message says I'm up to date (ver. 0309-3). Attached is file you requested.
Thanks

Let's wait for today's update (0309-4). I hope it'll fix itself automatically.

The problem is that avast, for some reason, thinks that is has version 0309-3 but is in fact using 0309-1...
