Avast! Online Security browser plugin not working
« on: July 27, 2013, 05:56:18 PM »
The plugin is greyed out in both icons and web search (see screenshot attached)

This occurs for both google chrome 28.0.1500.72 m and IE 10.0.9200.16635

The attached screenshot is for google chrome

Uninstalled and reinstalled for both web browsers - the problem remains

Earlier I had no problems at all, not so now, but am I concerned or going to do anything about it no.

Honestly don't chase shadows as at time is can be like watching an indicator, it's working, oops, now it's not. There are times when there cab be issues with the back-end servers for the webrep, just give it time.

Nope, just reporting here because it is not really an on-off working experience here, rather the plugin has not been working for the past few days.

Thus I would like to know others experience/feedback from Avast team.

For me WebRep rarely gives any indication at all, being greyed out.  When it does show green, it always the same rating for all sites regardless.  The next time it decides to work, it may show the same sites with a good rating with many votes, as compared to a good rating with a few votes.  IOW, the results are totally random.
