Thanks, Fillip, I think what Patrice58 is saying though is he is still able to download AMS 3.0 from the Google Play Store but then it crashes when he tries to launch the program and select free options only. By the way it looks like 2.0 was updated yesterday, and that may have been what caused the problem with the Google Play Store.

Yep free and premium as I can't even get to the entry screen before it crashes. I lied EVERYTHING I do causes avast to crash. Trying to get it to work by tapping the icon crash. Trying by pulling down the status box crash. It says it is protecting me but if I can't access it to check I  am not trusting it.

Avast Anti-Theft for Android and Avast Backup for Android updated to the newer beta build but avast mobile security is still 2.0.4993.

I have a Nexus 4 with android 4.3 all stock and no root. Since I update to android 4.3 I cannot track my phone from the web-portal. I get "Command timed out" all the time. This happens both with Anti-Theft 2.0 and the new 3.0 beta (which I just installed). With 3.0 I also get communications failure when I check for "Fix connection problems" under my vast account on my phone. It worked with android 4.2.2.

/Bent

Bent, I am in total agreement with you about everything working fine with 4.2.2 (I have a Sprint Samsung Galaxy S4 that I have been using for the Avast Beta Test with the Stock Android 4.2.2 MF9 Firmware).

By the way: Welcome to the Avast Forums Bent (I notice it's your first post here).

Patrice58, Avast Mobile Security is still at 2.0.4993 (Just tried uninstalling and reinstalling from the Google Play Store). I  think I am going to send that E-mail!

Patrice58, I am confused, I thought Mr. Holzner was the head of this particular Beta?

I sent my IMEI number. Am I waiting on a reply or what's going to happen now?

Hi,

the IMEI will get you only to Anti-Theft 3.0 Advanced (root) beta, won't change anything regarding AMS I'm afraid :(

What type of Android Phone do you have Patrice58? Please don't tell me it's one of those that still has Android 2.3 on it? The latest is Android 4.3 (as for me, I have 4.2.2, which came standard on my Brand New Samsung Galaxy S4 with Stock Firmware).

Ok, which is fine. I just want GPS to be enabled automatically. How long do I need to wait. I keep checking for updates and there is not a newer version available.
