Probably just needs a good tidy up and a disc defragment

Warning This fix is only relevant for this system and no other, using on another computer may cause problems

Be advised that when the fix commences it will shut down all running processes and you may lose the desktop and icons, they will return on reboot

Run OTL
  • Under the Custom Scans/Fixes box at the bottom, paste in the following

Code: [Select]
:Commands
[CREATERESTOREPOINT]

:OTL

the fix is made from the OTL log you posted......meaning it is made for Your exact machine and not something that fits all

HI so if I put Otl on a usb stick and then transfered otl to the Windows 7 home premium machine that means that the log info came from Windows 7 home Premium right.

thanks for the help.

yes.... the fix is made for the machine where you run OTL and created OTL.txt, it is not one fix fits all.....
the fix is always specially made for the OTL.txt log you posted, so never run a fix you find on the net

HI Essexboy the computer Windows 7 home premium when I rebooted the computer after defraging it the computer when it gets to the welcome screen it takes  a little while to get to the desktop still could their be something that I am missing like possibly a virus.  Even when you turn on the computer and it gets to the Windows icon it takes several minutes to get to the welcome screen.  Is their anything else I can try to speed up the startup process so that it gets to the desktop faster.

Thanks again

You could disable this start up item and see if that helps, as I find anything Apple tends to take a long time

4 - HKLM..\Run: [APSDaemon] C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support\APSDaemon.exe (Apple Inc.)

HI I was just wondering can I disable this application by going into the msconfig and go under the startup tab.

Thanks.
