Standard Shield
« on: April 30, 2005, 04:15:12 AM »
I have set my Standard Shield to High but I don't know if it's recommended.  Should I set it to High and what's the difference between high and normal for Standard Shield?

High is more thorough than Normal. Also probably a bit slower.

Normal - checks only specified files
High - checks all files
i think thats the only difference.

Web Shield,Network Shield, IM Shield and P2P Shield do not have different scan levels for Normal or High. Slider is there by design, but no matter where it's placed you have the same scan mode.

Oh I see, I though only network shield is the only one that has High setting that dosn't mean anything.

The slider in effect allows you to have a custom setting, if you change anything in the Customize... button (from defaults) then the slider will stay on custom.
