VoiceAGE AMR WB (A104) codec?

Hi all!

I'm trying to find a reputable place to download this codec and I'm having problems. The one place I found that I thought was good, when I tried to install it, I received an avast! message that malware was detected and it put it in the chest. The site I downloaded it from has a "good" rating on avast! web rep. I need this codec to play a file I need to transcribe.

VoiceAge AMR WB (A104) is what I'm "told" I need when Windows Media Player won't play it, says I'm missing a codec, and I click on "help" to go to Windows' website.

Anyone have any ideas of where I can find this safely? I went to the VoiceAge site and could not find a way to download the codec.

I tried using the codec download at this site:  http : // www dot free-codecs.com/download/SPOTxde_Player dot html which is what avast! didn't like when I tried to install it.

Why not just use the Shark007 codec package http://shark007.net/ and windows media player will play everything or install VLC player http://www.videolan.org/ which is self contained and plays everything

Hi Craig, I went to the shark site you provided and tried to download the codec package there and received the same malware block from avast!. I actually need the codec because I need to be able to play it on my transcription software. When it wouldn't load in the transcription software, then I tried WMP. WMP wouldn't play it either and is the program that told me about the missing codec.

Which avast shield is detecting it ? can you exclude the file from avast ?
