USB Drive not working properly

Hi!, you are not alone. I have exactly the same problem with .exe files since i directly downloaded a executable file on my usb drive in my computer (Windows XP Home SP2).

Facts:
*The usb drive (a QDI disk) worked well with other computers and operating systems.
* I tried with another usb drive (a Transcend disk) and i had the same problem.

Then I guess that is a software problem, not a drive problem. Uninstalling usb drivers don't works,... i don't find any solution either.

Well, we have had success uninstalling the software ZipGenius!!!. It was the cause of my error. We probe it due to ZipGenius functions appear in the options menu (right click button).

Reinstalling ZipGenius makes the problem reappear.

PD: I had the 6.0 version of ZipGenius

It is interesting 'cause I'm using ZipGenius (3 years, versions 5 and 6) but I never had problems at all.

WHOA!!! I uninstalled Zip Genius from my computer and it starts working (the usb disk, of course).

Thanks GRiS!!! You're the best!!!  But, what zip program would I use now....    I'll go search for some. But thanks again. Never thought it would be conflicting with Zip Genius. (And I really liked that program too...) And thanks for anyone else who helped me. I really appreciate it.  I did learn a lot about the compressing files and such, really helpful.
