Filtering incoming calls and SMS messgaes
« on: August 08, 2013, 03:54:38 AM »
I have newly installed Avast free mobile security on my phone and have a question about filtering incoming calls and SMS messages.

Everyday I receive an internet usage text message from my service provider. And every day I get asked if I want to Block or Allow this message from now on. I always choose Allow but I don't understand why it doesn't remember the response and keeps asking me every day. I have looked for somewhere to add this number to a Whitelist but can't find it. Please help me.

Thanks.

Hi,

it should be enough to add the number to your contact list (or turn off the feature completely if you don't want to be asked about unknown messages at all).

I understand what you are saying but this message is machine generated and the number can never be called, so I don't want to add to my contacts. Surely if I say Allow once, then that information should be stored somewhere for future reference. If I say Block, what happens to that information? Will I be asked again? Of course not.
