A quicky here...just downloaded Leechget download manager. It has a function like the messenger programs to add in the virus scanner to take care of the downloaded files etc etc. Does Avast automatically deal with these downloads like in the P2P and messenger add ins for Avast 4 or is that something to come with future versions? If Avast doesn't as yet scan these on download am I right in saying that the resident scanner will pickup a virus if I attempt to open a file when it is completed?

The resident scanner will pick it up when executing, that's correct. However, you can set up Leechget to use avast for each downloaded file - for this purpose, it's best to use ashQuick.exe

See e.g. http://www.avast.com/forum/index.php?board=2;action=display;threadid=268 (there is a number of threads about this on this forum...)

Just a curiosity. I tried to use Leechget sometime ago...
Do you use a proxy? If yes, does Leechget works well handling downloads under a proxy system? Thanks.  ;)
