update- i manually downloaded update package @ http://www.avast.com/download-update
attempted to install them and success. update current version now says 130817-1.
now im just waiting to see if the program will update automatically and if so, im set.

update- this morning avast free anti-virus updated automatically to 130818-0.
im happy this worked out because i really like both the avast security suite and the free anti-virus programs.
and want to add the security suite to my new computer.
so getting this fixed sets any concerns about having to switch to an inferior program to rest.

They had some Server issues, i had the same problem with the Beta of Avast 2014.
Windows 10 1909, 4 GB DDR3 RAM, 500 GB 5400 RPM HDD, 1366 by 768 LCD Screen, Intel Core i3 5010U Dual Core, Intel HD Graphics 5500

They had some Server issues, i had the same problem with the Beta of Avast 2014.

omg lol. NOT.
i should have done more searching for that.
it crossed my mind initially but i figured it was my mistake installing over the expired security suite that caused the problem.
thnx for letting me know. i'll keep it mind if there is a next time.
