I bought Avast Internet Security and the last thing I expected was to be 'upsold' to buying a VPN service on top of my antivirus protection. Every time it updates the popup nags me to subscribe to Secureline.

Not that I even need a reason to refuse it, but I use a 3rd party VPN company which has a very stringent policy on ensuring they don't keep information that could be potentially handed over to authorities. They openly refuse to co-operate where they don't have to, and when they do, nothing's there to give out. I can't trust Avast with being able to uphold that, unfortunately.

Must you force advertising on us paying users? At least give us an option to disable it? I've seen it, I've trialed it, I have my own, I don't want it. The nagging annoys me.

Thanks,

Matt.

I think the solution is just to disable the update panel to be shown.
(I'm using version 2014 Beta, so it could be a little different from yours).
