tumri.net virus
« on: September 02, 2013, 03:53:36 PM »
My brother-in-law, who uses AVAST free on his desktop, is infected with the tumri.net virus.  We have run both Quick and Full scans with Avast finding 0 infections.  Any suggestions would be most appreciated.  Thank you!

Hi,

Download DDS and save it to your Desktop from here:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/dds/

Double click dds to run the tool.

    * When done, DDS will open two (2) logs:
        1. DDS.txt
        2. Attach.txt

Save both reports to your desktop. DDS.txt and Attach.txt attach back to topic.

Thank you.  I will.  Unfortunately he left on a 7 day cruise to Bermuda yesterday and my remote access to his pc is gone.  Have been investigating the issue for a couple of days and was hoping for a solution to implement when he returns.  Stay tuned.  Thank you.
