I don't know why do you want to remove it.  ???  Seems it's default settings, and i don't have problems with web shield.

Kamulko! it is very unlikely that these types of files would be used transmit malware very very unlikely

if possible at all!!

 Kamulko! I know Jpeg exploits are common however the types of file excluded would be very unlikely

to reach your system as webshield would detect anyway.

Also If it isn't broken don't breakit

you are wise about the risk of a program change, but every Avast! lover try to search for new improvements. When (if) a damage happens, I can reinstall.
