Am I able to keep my free version of Avast?

I have 31 more days to go on my free version, my husband has 12 days to go....can we keep the free version or do we HAVE to upgrade and pay?  I am not cheap but we are on a fixed income....we use to beable to keep the free version but after looking around I am unable to find where I can keep it.  Thank you for all answers.

The free version is always free :) you just need to register it through Maintenance/Registration.

Also remember to stay with the free version if you want to keep it that way.
Do not choose Upgrade.
I've used the free version for the past 10 years and hope to be around to do it for another 10 years. :)

I love Avast.  I customize the settings for extra protection on the free version for the last 7 years I've used it.  I can't imagine
any protection better than Avast even if I just use the Free Home Edition.  Thanks Avast!  :D
