Today I noticed a new icon on my desktop. I right clicked on the icon and went to the properties.
It claims to be “Avast! Browser Cleanup Sfx”. The icon is a Red Star. Has anyone seen this appear on their desktop?
It looks very suspicious and I haven’t clicked on it and don’t think I should.
I have used Avast browser cleanup several times on my own computers and others, but always executed it from within the Avast Internet Security program, the “Tools” section of Avast. I have attached a screenshot of the properties, notice the "Star" in the upper left corner.
