What exactly ist the Browser Plugin for?
« on: September 16, 2013, 02:11:14 PM »
Dear all,

I'd like to deactivate as many as possible of the Add-ons and Plugins.

I understand, that Avast's basic service is dedecting and blocking viruses etc, esp. when I am connected to the web.

What is missing, when I deinstall the Plugin, as is shown in 'Settings - Browser-Integration' ?

 - I don't need a software that corrects my typing - when I am making mistakes I want to know.
 - I don't need the evaluation of websites - I want to keep my capability of evaluating myself.

Anything else that is switched off, when I switch off the Plugin?

Regards, Alfred

PS: Avast is excellent in regard to saving CPU-capacity and ease of operation.
