Licensing Question
« on: May 17, 2005, 04:09:35 AM »
First off, I hope this is the correct forum. Even though it is not really a ADNM issue, but I suppose it is since ADNM stores the license file.

Anyway, symantics aside - I have a Win2k Server system, that is "supposed" to be SBS, but when I look at the properties it is listed as a normal Win2k server, but there is a SBS console under programs. Weird. So this creates the obvious question:

1. Do I license it as a Win2k server or SBS?

2. If I license it as a SBS do I also need to purchase licenses for the clients? For example: 1 - SBS server, 10 clients = 1 SBS server with 10 clients, OR 1 SBS with 10 clients AND 10 Pro licenses?

Here is the real scenario:
1 - SBS or Win2k server (described above)
1 - Win2k Server (runs one network app)
15 - Win2k/WinXP Pro Workstations.
What do I need to purchase for my client?

Thanks!
Shane
