avast! causing software issues - healthsuite
« on: September 25, 2013, 11:09:05 AM »
Hey there,

I'm a technical Support Engineer for a company called healthbridge - basically what we do is we switch claims for medical providers so they can receive real time responses on claims for patients that belong to medical aids.

Now that I've told you who I am I'd like to get to the issue at hand:

The issue started around last week. A specific component (executable - HealthBridgecentre.exe) from our software package stops working due to avast. The funny thing is avast does NOT remove the application or add it to the chest. But adding the application as a global exclusion in avast resolves the issue.

So basically I'd like to know how I can submit avast this executable so they can removes it from their virus list or see why avast is interfering with the operation of the file.

To be honest I love avast, I use it at home and I always suggest avast to any of our clients because it never causes issues. We save the medical industry in South Africa over a billion Rand and we have a client base of over 100 000 practitioners and specialists.

I'd love to keep suggesting avast for our clients. And by helping me you could help us keep both our clients happy.

Help from an avast staff member would be appreciated.  :)

Awesome!

I submitted the file. I'm just worried they don't find anything. I have determined avast is the culprit. But like I mentioned the file isn't removed or added to the Virus Vault. So it might not be something so simple.
