Hi emilemma, I hope you are well?

Are you using Avast BETA 3? if yes then hopefully this will help:)

If want to enable or disable silent gaming mode please open the avast UI and then click on Settings tab and then under the  General Tab scroll down till you see Silent/Gaming mode, if the Silent/Gaming mode has a tick in the box then Silent/Gaming mode is enabled for when games are played or doing anything in full screen mode.
If this box has a tick then you should not get any pop-ups or sounds from avast .
To disable Silent/Gaming mode then just untick the box.:)

If you want to disable avast sounds and pop-ups, then open avast UI go to Settings and then Appearance scroll down to sounds and untick the enable avast sounds box to enable them again then tick the box.

To disable the pop-ups  go to Settings then Appearance scroll down to pop-ups and put 0 in all the boxes the click OK then you should not get any pop-ups.
Please give it a try and let me know if it works:).

Hope this helps:)

happy avast user :)

After you start a scan you can close the GUI and a small pop-up/window appears on your screen.
You can then close that pop-up/window and the scan will continue.
When you are ready to view the results open the GUI>Scan>Scan History.
You should be able to do this even during a scheduled scan.  :)
