OE crash
« on: March 10, 2003, 03:14:22 AM »
I really like Avast! but it has been causing my Outlook Express to crash on an occasion. I have also noticed a really hard hit on resources. I can live with the resource thing but any idea why OE crashes?

We need more info. Operating system, OE version (exact), when/how does it crash (what steps has one to follow to simulate the crash)..

BTW, do you have the latest version of avast? (4.0.172 at the time of writing).

Thanks

I run W98SE for operating system as for how it crashes, it is intermittent about the crash but it will just close with no warning with illegal action message. I have noticed sometimes it will be unable to display the inbox or deleted folder for example prior to this. If I do away with the email scan feature in Avast! this will stop. Yes I have the latest version of Avast!. I know this not much to go on and is probably a hard one to put a finger on. Thanks for reply......
