Does AVAST Free edition commes with cashpartners.exe ???
« on: October 14, 2013, 08:10:49 AM »
I have installed avast (free edition) on several PC's and each time AVAST shortly after being installed, popped up a red message for warning that some process tried to download something suspicious.
Each time it was on request of the process cashpartners.exe.
On the first installations, I didn't take to much attention as I thought the PC was already infected before installing AVAST. But at least on the last 2 occasions I checked that the PC was not infected prior to installing AVAST.
cashpartners installs in ad directory "AppData\Local\ahaskz3".
So what's up with AVAST and CashPartners ???

I have been using Avast since version 7. Avast doesn't come up with any bundle software or programs. Sounds like something came into your computer without your knowledge and it's suspicious or it can be a malware. Do a full system scan with Avast in safe mode and install SuperAntispyware Free Edition and Malwarebytes Antimalware Free Edition update them both and run a full system scan in safe mode.

Post result logs here in this forum. Do another full system scan on normal mode with SAS, MBAM, and Avast.

hi ledents,

That's suspicious.  No adware or PUP's come with avast! on install.

Possible adware.  http://systemexplorer.net/file-database/file/cashpartners-exe/21093114
