residence scan teak zeppelin
« on: October 03, 2003, 08:03:09 AM »
Periodically when my computer is idle I'll see the avast! residence scanner scan something.  When I check what it is it shows last file scanned is teak_zeppelin.asws.

Why is it scanning a skin when idle?

I'm using the blue panel for the simple interface and don't have it opened.

It's never seemed to be a problem but I wonder about it.

Thanks,
Jarron

It does not seem to be a problem.
If you open a document, or execute a program, does the resident show another "last scanned file"...
For me, it does  ;D

Yes it does.  All seems normal and well except for scanning its own skin when it hasn't done anything for a while and gets bored.

Jarron

It's scanning the files because the auto-updater is touching them to verify they're OK. It should happen approx. every 4 hours...

Thanks VLK.  It sounds good to me, I'm serene now.

Thank you too, Technical, but who's Lito and why was he nervous? ??? :)
