The main reason I believe is that you have adobe websites in your host file

Warning This fix is only relevant for this system and no other, using on another computer may cause problems

Be advised that when the fix commences it will shut down all running processes and you may lose the desktop and icons, they will return on reboot

Run OTL
  • Under the Custom Scans/Fixes box at the bottom, paste in the following

Code: [Select]
:Commands
[CREATERESTOREPOINT]

Sorry I was probably a bit too quick?
I did the uninstall and re installed from the new installer page free from Mcafee?
I have the latest Flash player in but Avast is still giving me a Mal url threat on divshare files?
?
Thanks in anticipation!

Not sure how I do that, it says this-
Tried again to play divshare files and still the same Avast alert pops up-

OBJECT; http;st4.divshare.com/launch.php?f=24628233&s=432&e=a

Infection;URL Mal

C;\Program Files\,,,\firefox.exe

Click more details- it says-

URL:   http://st4.divshare.com/launch.php?f
Infection:   URL:Mal

Relax, your avast! just saved you from a virus.
Protect yourself against other types of threats by upgrading now.

However what I have done wrong is this-
on my last OTL run I only pasted in the begining part of the script left for me to do?
I had not scrolled it down to reveal the lower part of the info so had only pasted half of it in?
Does that make sense?
What should I do for OTL to fix the rest.
Sorry,
Thanks again for your time its really fully Appreciated!

No problem at the top of the box where the code is, there is a select hyperlink, press that and it will select all text for you to copy

Avast does not like the page that divx is trying to open.
