From the 2014 RC3 UI > Settings > Update, program update it reports it is up to date, presumably because the 9.0.2115 (RC3) version is the latest version on the beta update stream and isn't on the regular program update stream.

So it will have to be an install of 9.0.2006 over the top of RC3.

Updated through UI from version 8.0.1497.
I had BSOD during reboot.Second reboot was fine.
Also,Windows action center was reporting that Avast was turned off.
Now (after second reboot) everything is fine.
BTW,where is website blocking ?

I have some machines still running AIS 7.0.1426. Should I uninstall first or just upgrade using the 9.0.2006 installer?
Personally I'd do a clean install.

Run the uninstaller then install v2014.  :)

1) No need to yell. That's considered rude.
2) Just download your choice then install at your convenience.  :)

Just updated from the UI on mu win7 netbook - avast free 8.0.1497. Things progressed well albeit pretty slow program update.

First point of note my firewall Outpost Firewall Pro, reported unsigned kernel mode driver !

Secondary point of note, after the reboot the avast free antivirus Setup screen is bloody massive, it won't fit on my 1024x600 screen. You can barely see the first opt out for chrome checkbox and you can't see the second nor can you see the Continue button.

This causes lots of hassle as the screen can't be resized, nor can it be moved up to click the Continue button as when you release the mouse pointer (after dragging the screen up) the window goes back to where it was. Now it is a case of trying to use the tab key to highlight the button that you can't see.

A right pain and possibly going to have people get chrome again.

Congrats avast! team. It was longer beta test, but i really like the end results, especially the new GUI. I also hope we were helpful with ideas, reports and recommendations.

Btw, nice job with the webpage. It's so simple and easy to navigate. I like it.
